Eurasian Skylark, Alauda arvensis, is a species of passerine bird in the lark family found in cropland and grassland ecosystems. It is a widespread breeder across most of Europe.This species is found in most open habitats and has a strong association with farmland throughout its range, but it also occurs on heathland and moorland, meadows, grassland, steppe, edges of marshes, dunes and even in extensive forest clearings (European Red List 2015).

Alauda arvensis has a breeding population size of 24100000-36900000 pairs and a breeding range size of 3610000 square kilometres in the EU27. The breeding population trend in the EU27 is Decreasing in the short term and Decreasing in the long term.
