African Houbara, Chlamydotis undulata, is a species of bustard found in heathland and shrub and unvegetated or sparsely vegetated land ecosystems.

In the EU27, Chlamydotis undulata is only found in the Canary Islands and has a breeding population size of 850-1300 individuals and a breeding range size of 2400 square kilometres in the EU27. The breeding population trend in the EU27 is Stable in the short term and Increasing in the long term.

The EU population status of Chlamydotis undulata was assessed as Near Threatened, because the species comes close to meeting the IUCN Red List criteria at the EU27 scale.
